I am here, Jesus.
Let me address this longstanding debate in your mind. I
said through Mr. Padgett, "Do not understand that I was
preoccupied with those desires and longings for the
pleasures of the world which these human passions create -
I was not ...."
The key word is "preoccupied." You know that the physical
pleasures are in themselves good. So I did not mean to
imply that they should not be indulged, because that would
create unhappiness. I also said, "Where your heart is,
there your treasure will be also." Let me explain.
There are many mortals who are devoid of a spiritual
dimension to their life. To fill this void, they fill
their lives with material objects and physical pleasures.
They do not perceive that they are essentially spiritual
beings, so they close down that part of their life. So
these people place their treasure in these material and
physical pleasures. That is what I was referring to.
Mortals like yourself who perceive this spiritual
component can easily place the physical and material side
to life, which is an important and necessary aspect of
earth life. So that to enjoy physical pleasures while
still recognizing the spiritual, is to affirm the goodness
of the animal nature, while simultaneously recognizing the
greater importance of the spiritual. This approach is much
closer to your native Judaism.
