I am here, Jesus.
I come to deliver a message on righteous indignation.
Now, this emotion is different from anger because there is
a difference in purpose. When the Hebrew prophets
fulminated against their people, their motive was pure
love. Another motive was to speak for the Lord. There was
really no narrow ego agenda involved. Yes, they said
things that sounded judgmental, and perhaps they were. But
it was not for the purpose of putting down; it was to
motivate the people to change.
Righteous people cannot stand hypocrisy and injustice.
They burn in them, and the only way they can find release
is to express righteous indignation. When this emotion is
expressed, it is entirely different from anger, for anger
tears down, whereas righteous indignation seeks to uplift.
