I am here, William Shakespeare.
When I said in my message of August 14, 2007
that "my first employment in the theater was as a stand-in
actor," this experience in London was my official professional
entry into theater. My previous experience as an adolescent at Rufford
Hall was an apprenticeship in preparation for what was to follow.
I said, in my August 13, 2007 message,
"I thoroughly enjoyed and absorbed my childhood classroom training.
We were taught many things that were invaluable for my future career
in theater. I absorbed it eagerly ...."
But I also chafed as a child against the restrictions of the classroom
experience. There were other aspects to the classroom I did not
like. What sustained me, however, was my love of knowledge.
