I am here, Alexander.
Yes, you are correct, that I wanted to convey a message to you.
As I had a very powerful impact on history, I want to give you my
current perspective about my life.
In my conceit, I believed the story surrounding my birth, that it
was influenced somehow by a god. Yes, I felt very arrogant because
of this.
But over here, the truth was humiliating: I learned it was all a
falsehood, the product of someone's overheated brain.
I also prided myself on my exploits in war, as was the custom in
my time. But reality over here is so very different, and those who
thought this way have always had a rude awakening.
You were going to read the whole chapter about me in Plutarch's
Lives, but then you gave up in disgust.
I don't blame you. The type of life I led on earth left me completely
unprepared for what awaited me over here.
It is hard for a military man to cope in this spirit world. All
his reality has been left behind, and he is left with nothing but
himself.
Though I did love knowledge, I never really cultivated myself as
I should have, so that when I arrived in this other world, I felt
helpless.
Alexander the Great Mégas Aléxandros; 356
BC 323 BC), also known as Alexander III of Macedon was
an ancient Greek King (basileus) of Macedon (336323 BC). He
was one of the most successful military commanders of all time and
is presumed undefeated in battle. By the time of his death, he had
conquered (see Wars of Alexander the Great) the Achaemenid Persian
Empire, adding it to Macedon's European territories; according to
some modern writers, this was most of the world as known to the
ancient Greeks. (Source: Wikipedia)
