I am here, Benjamin Franklin.
Let me say a word about the elitism of us founding fathers. We
felt this way, and we weren't ashamed of it. We felt we had all
the requirements for rule, and we thought that the common people
did not have this ability because it was lacking in them.
As you know, this spirit world is the great leveler. I have seen
founding fathers struggling with sins, and I have seen "common"
people basking in a life of goodness. And I have seen so many different
combinations of soul purity or defilement that I have concluded
that we are all equal in the Eyes of God.
You are wondering if we suffered for our elitism. Well, it all
depended on our purpose. Mixed in with a sincere desire to benefit
the country were superiority and snobbishness. So, depending on
the degree to which the good mingled with the bad, this determined
our happiness or unhappiness over here.
To be an elitist did not guarantee suffering, just as being a
Nazi did not make every thing Nazis did bad; the world is now acquainted
with the example of Oskar Schindler, a Nazi who saved many Jews.
