I am here, St. Augustine.
I wish to address the issue of the physical appetites, as
that needs clarification in your mind and in the mind of
others. When Jesus and the Angels channeled through Mr.
Padgett that sin comes from the overindulgence of the
animal appetites, they spoke the Truth. There have been so
many who have been guilty in this regard, and those ideas
were addressed to them. There was never any attempt to
condemn these physical pleasures per se, for they are
innocent.
As you are aware, all throughout the messages is the additional theme that these same appetites are in their
nature good, because they come from God.
Christianity's unrestricted condemnation of these
pleasures has done much harm. We do realize how far so
many Christians have progressed in this area, and yet this
still needs to be said. Though what I have said is
obvious, there is nevertheless an undercurrent of
discomfort in the minds of many about this, and I am
addressing this less conscious aspect.
