I am here, Tacitus.

Yes, I did see the utter futility and immorality of ancient Rome. And in my heart, I yearned for something, I knew not what. Well, I found that something - the New Birth. Praise God!

Publius (or: Gaius) Cornelius Tacitus (c. 56 – c. 117) is one of the important historians of Roman Antiquity. The surviving portions of his two major works—the Annals and the Histories—treat the reigns of the Roman Emperors Tiberius, Claudius, Nero and those that reigned in the Year of the Four Emperors.
