The Messages of James Edward Padgett

James Padgett received messages from Jesus and many Celestials, and other spirits, over the period 1914 until his death in 1923. The only messages that are currently published, were published in four initial volumes entitled "True Gospel Revealed Anew by Jesus." These four volumes were published between 1940 and 1967, by Dr Stone, the close associate of James Padgett. The last volume was in fact completed after Dr Stone's death, by Rev John Paul Gibson. A number of other published works have been compiled from this initial source.

This chronological index below of these messages has not been produced previously. This index is the result of a great deal of work, by a number of different people. We believe that this compilation will be of great interest to those who would like to understand how Padgett's knowledge evolved, and precisely in what sequence things happened. If one wants to get straight into the "meaty stuff", it is however easier to read Volumes I and II below.

We no longer have access to the original hand written messages, although they still exist. The matching of dates was accomplished by comparing the short summary in a diary form to which we do have access. These are called the Padgett Tablets. The reader should be aware that this date matching is a somewhat inexact process. Sometimes it is easy to match, but some messages appear to not be in this Tablet. Others are simply uncertain, because the Tablet could refer to more than one message. Thus some licence has occasionally been taken to arrive at this index. We do not believe that this should in any way detract from the index.

As the above volumes were published from 1940 on, without the aid of computers, it should come as no surprise to discover that within these four volumes, messages have been repeated. In order to eliminate confusion in computer based word searches, only one instance of each message has been included on this web site. Where necessary, this is a composite message. A comment has been made in the index to reflex the incidence of a duplicate. These duplicates provide the serious researcher with a unique opportunity to gain some insight into the accuracy of the transcription from the automatic writing of James Padgett. It would be fair to say that although some issues are raised, overall it appears that the transcription was extremely meticulous.

The unpublished messages of James Padgett.

A project is currently underway to scan all the handwritten originals of the Padgett messages. This will be used to verify the accuracy of the printed documents. However there are believed to be many hundreds of unpublished messages. We plan to list these as they become available, as well as any messages that are significantly different to that published. These additional messages can be found here.
