I am here, Your Own True and Loving Helen (Mrs.
Padgett):
You must not write more tonight, as you are somewhat exhausted
and I know that the Doctor will not be disappointed if you stop
now. But as I am his friend, as he knows, I will tell him that his
Mary is here and says that the next best thing to telling him of
her love is for me to tell him for her!
His parents are here also, and his mother says that she will come
soon and write him a letter, and so will Kate, who is anxious to
let him know something about his sisters in England. They, of course,
send their love and blessings.
Sweetheart, I will not write more now. Only love me and believe,
and pray to the Father, and you will find a blessing.
Yes, they both wrote, and as I know them both, you can rely on
what was said to you. Paul was full of love and enthusiasm, and
wants you to give him the opportunity to write.
So with my live to you both, I will say goodnight.
Your own true and loving
Helen
