Jesus: On Mr. Padgett’s Selection.

_Dear Father in Heaven, I love You and am thankful for all the many blessings You bestow upon us. D___ has received a reply on the computer from someone attracted to the angel’s messages; she, B___ would like to know more about James E. Padgett._

I pray that I will be a clear channel for thoughts from the angels; from Jesus or James E. Padgett - whoever will have the better rapport with me at this time.

I pray for a great inflowing of your Divine Love; I pray that I will put my thoughts aside, and not block what the spirits wish to convey.

 

I am here now to write, my dear sister in Christ, and I come as usual to convey a message through you, and to give some information to a new follower of the Truths which may satisfy her desires to know more about the medium who was so essential in receiving messages from me in the early part of this century.

I am your friend and brother in spirit, Jesus of the Bible and Master of the Celestial Heavens, and I welcome this opportunity to deliver my thoughts through you in this way.

As we have told you before, Mr Padgett was an excellent medium, and for this reason he was chosen to receive these important messages; and he had a good acquaintance with the English language, and was a religious person.

Even though there were many people living on earth at that time who were more highly developed in their spiritual qualities than was Mr. Padgett, they did not have as many of the other necessary qualities which were needed in this work for the reception of the messages of Truth and Love.

Even though soul development on his part was needed to a higher degree than he had when we commenced writing, through his sincere prayers for Divine Love over a period of time, this soul development was attained, and a condition which enabled us to write the many valuable messages now available to mankind.

Even though being a lawyer isn’t especially conducive to developing a loving spiritual nature in a person, it provided certain qualities which did assist in his ability to carry on with the work in a meaningful way: He was steadfast in his dedication to the work, in spite of his doubts at times. He was accustomed to being discreet with certain information, and knew he wouldn’t be able to share this information he was receiving with the “general public”, because it would lead to his dismissal from his profession.

But he did have certain friends and supporters who never doubted his clarity, and who were there for him at all times. And because he was encouraged to believe in the importance of his work, he continued to serve as a channel for our messages.

Even after the death of his beloved daughter, when his faith had been shattered, he wanted again to resume his appointed work of receiving the messages from us, but his condition of soul prevented the higher thoughts to be transmitted through his mind and brain and hand.

So, a time of progression was again needed and a delay in the work ensued. We of the Celestial Heavens are exceedingly patient as a result of having an abundance of God’s Grace in our souls; and we are wise also for the same reason, and we knew that in time Mr. Padgett would work through his grief and his blocks and disappointments, and he would again be able to receive our thoughts clearly.

Now he is one of the Celestial angels who works among men and women on earth, especially ones who are seeking to know the truth, who love God and want His Will to be done in their lives. We all have many people we work with from time to time; and our work is rewarding when we see the results of our influences being carried out from day to day.

We aren’t expecting a great turnaround to happen in the twinkling of an eye, but when we are successful in influencing a million people to pray, to love their neighbor more, to stop fighting and try negotiating instead, we see these little steps as great progress.

Negative tendencies and attitudes are deep seated and must undergo layers of changes, little by little, before the nature of these individuals undergoes a significant reversal. If we have millions of Celestial angels bringing their influence to bear upon the hardened hearts of humankind, there can be no doubt that progress will be made.

Love is more powerful than hate, and will win out in the end. But because of humankind’s free will, a person can hang on to hate for as long as he or she wishes.

Eventually when one becomes aware of what’s going on in the world, he can observe that loving people are more happy and fulfilled than hateful ones. They can observe that even the indifferent people have less have less strife and suffering and pain than the ones who engage in open warfare and violence, and dominance and control over the lives of others.

I realize that when one is involved in their earth life it occupies much of their time and thought, and it’s perhaps difficult to consider that it is only a moment in eternity; but when you come to the spirit world and see how vast it is, and how beautiful and advanced from what was experienced on earth, you will wonder why you spent so much time worrying about so many comparatively insignificant things.

So continue to pray to know the truth, and put yourselves into God’s Loving Care, and feel the peace and joy that comes to you when you’re able to successfully complete that exercise of will and faith. And you will worry less, and you will find answers to your spiritual questions almost before you formulate the question.

And Mr. Padgett tells me to let B___ know he will be one of her guardian spirits who helps watch over her and guide her, and will come to her when she calls him, and if she listens carefully, she will pick up on his thoughts and feelings.

I will let this suffice for today and will leave you now with my blessings for a productive and harmonious week ahead, and I thank you for receiving this message.
