I am here, John Lennon.

I thank you for receiving my thoughts this morning. I know you have thought I was mixed up, but as your friend said, there was much that I represented that was good, as you are realizing.

I was overjoyed to see my beloved mother again. Truly, that made me so happy. Though I have been in spirit only a short time, I have progressed very rapidly. And this is because I was sincere on earth in my desire for peace and nonviolence.

We good spirits are forming a mighty army to combat darkness, and you have seen much evidence for this recently. I have been able to retain all my Bohemian style - in fact, it is encouraged.

I know you have loved some of my ballads. I did realize the importance of my gift in terms of making the world a better place. We Beatles understood the mystique that surrounded us and tried to do what every person does - have an independent, normal life. It was hard for us, but we understood that we were privileged to have fame. We sincerely desired to use our fame in a good way.

Much has happened in the world since my death. The things I stood for still occupy my attention, only now I don’t have the distractions and obstacles of the mortal life. So you see, I am in the clear and still vociferous in my opposition to darkness and hypocrisy. I realized I was speaking for many, and I had a good heart with good intentions.

As you know, on earth I had the courage to speak my mind. I realized we Beatles were vulnerable, but we decided to do what we had to do - make music and bring our message of joy, peace, and love to the world. We, of course, went about this consciously, and we were heartened by the response generated from our worldwide public. So, success did not make us jaded. Up to my death, I continued representing those things that were convictions, and I continue to pursue these aims here.

One thing I would like to say is that it is so much easier to do this sort of thing over here. It is thrilling to be able to get into the minds and souls of mortals, and understand what makes them do what they do. And we try to arrange things so that evil is overturned and good prevails. I tell you, it is such a joy to be free to do this. When you come over here, you will share this joy.

I thank you for being a conduit for our work. I would like you to consider me your new friend.

In love, John Lennon
