Both Ancient and Modern Wisdom Are Needed.

I am here, Jesus.
It’s true that humanity needs to reactivate its ancient traditions of morality and spirituality where these are true and applicable. And it is also true that the way history has evolved, what with modern science, technology, and computers, and the destructive path the world economic system is taking, it is forcing many mortals to reach beyond materialism to find a better way.
More and more people are waking up to what life really is, or at least, they are realizing that they need to be thinking differently from the distorted messages of your culture. And simultaneously, those outside the specifically American culture are mobilizing to combat this attack on their own way of thinking.
All that remains to be done is for your country to set a different course that will be in harmony with humanity’s true needs, and not against these needs.
But in their distress, many are reaching out to those qualities of courage and faith that inevitably attract the Angels, who will shepherd humanity to the safe harbor of love and peace.
So there is a similarity to my own time, when there was a dominant empire, and a general chaos and insecurity in my society. It was in that psychological reality that I was able to preach the Glad Tidings of the Divine Love to my fellow Jews. It made people receptive to a message not specifically worldly.
