I am here, Robert Kennedy.
It is obvious to anybody who knows about my life that I was dominated by my father and my brothers, and this made it extremely difficult for me to be independent in the true sense of the word. But as I got older, I became more conscious of who I was. My brother Joe’s death took some of the pressure off me as far as my father was concerned. But Jack’s death shattered me even more than Joe’s death. But with Jack’s1 death, I was at an age where I could more easily be my true self.
