I am here, Jesus.

My truths are plain and my teachings can be understood by the simple. Any religion which requires the exercise of the mental faculties to an extent greater than what is required in the ordinary affairs of life, cannot be a true religion; because God has designed that all his children shall understand His truths without the necessity of having a highly developed mind.

He that runs may understand my teachings1 and it will not be necessary for any preacher or teacher to explain them. My language will explain itself. So let not your mind be troubled over the question as to whether only the mentally developed can understand what I may write - the truths are for all. So with all my love I am,

Your brother and friend,

Jesus.

1 The phrase “he that runs may understand my teachings” is curious. There are two schools of thought on this. The first is that it is a reference to a Biblical phrase found in Habakkuk:

“Then the Lord said to me, Write the vision in large, clear letters on a tablet, that he may run that readeth it” (Habakkuk 2:2).

Sometimes misquoted as “that he that runneth may read.” Often (before the corrected translation) interpreted as: “Write it in such big letters that everyone who walks/runs by may read it.” But currently properly understood as (the way I would render it): “.., that he who reads it may run with it.” As seen in the NLT translation:

“Then the Lord said to me, Write my answer in large, clear letters on a tablet, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else.” (Habakkuk 2:2; NLT).

The alternative view is that it is simply an error of interpretation of the automatic writing. And that the word should be “prays.” There is another message supporting the view that meditation and prayer will reveal real meanings, however Luke uses the same phrase.
