What happens to folk who don’t pray for God’s Love?

R: What happens to people who do not pray for God’s love?
Joseph: After death their fate may take them in many various directions. They may wander all kinds of paths. Some may be happy, and others less so, depending on their actions in this life and depending, most importantly, on their states of mind. However in general, unless there is an unexpected opening due to prayers they may not have even realized they uttered on the soul level at some time in their history, for the most part they will remain caught on the side of illusion, of obscuration, of the web of the self, the self-limiting realm of the mind of man.
Now interestingly, you ask what about the Buddhist meditators who do not believe in God. And interestingly, they open their minds very far, and by opening their minds so far, they achieve a very close proximity to the oneness of God’s love. Yet it is like being next to an aquarium and seeing water and great sea creatures therein. But the thickness of the glass still yet separates you from the actual water experience. Just so a transparent membrane yet separates them from true oneness with the truth, God’s love, God Himself. And the reason is that this contemplation, this “meditation” (not true meditation in the sense of union with God), is still inward looking, like a lens that reflects in a concave manner with a focal point of light that focuses inwards. Yes, you are writing it down well.
R: What ultimately happens to those who do not pray for God’s love?
Joseph: Some may spiral upwards and learn and grow and serendipitously encounter more highly evolved souls, and find great happiness and solace and even God. Some may encounter the Great Ones, Jesus and the other Celestial Spirits. Some may learn to pray, and then the question no longer applies to them. Now then again, others may spiral downward, getting ever more caught up in their own misery. It becomes more and more ingrown, like an ingrown toenail. Unfortunately there are even very severe cases with which you are familiar by watching true detective stories on TV. These evil spirits act out their misery by inflicting themselves on weak-minded and unwary human beings, and driving them to terrible evil deeds. It becomes self-perpetuating and it perpetuates the misery terribly. Then there are the neutral cases, almost like boredom, staleness, stagnation (Geoff said it well). Yes. A terrible stuckness that is almost as bad as the tortures of depression and hatred. For it is very claustrophobic and one feels one cannot breathe.
Of course we Celestial Spirits feel great compassion for all those stuck in the various realms, and we pray for them daily and nightly.
And there is yet another state, a different kind of stuck state, which is a sweet-flavored state of being in a very pleasant realm, yet stuck. One does not cause harm, and this is good. One is good to one’s neighbors, and this is good. Yet it is necessary to rouse oneself to prayer in order to go further. It is necessary to rouse oneself from one’s pleasant slumber. And to open. I wish to say more on this topic of opening, how the transition can be made.
I sense your mind is being pulled by your duties. It is time to attend to dinner, and your concentration is breaking down. There is more to say, and we will return to this topic anew at another time. Thank you for your efforts and good night. In fact, you are very fast, and that bodes well. You have made progress in typing as I dictate to you. It is good.
R: Thank you very much.
Joseph: Please thank Geoff too for his question. I enjoy playing ball with him, so to speak. Adieu. (Joseph the Younger)
