I am here, Rock Hudson.
So now, you’ve read my biography and about my unfortunate end. I died confused and arrived here confused. For I had a very unclear idea about just about everything. As I look back on my life, I cannot understand why I could not be me, why I went around in circles avoiding things.
I don’t have much to offer, since I still don’t understand that much. But I do know that many things I said and did were wrong. I did not know that I should take care of my soul. I didn’t know I had one. Sorry I can’t be more specific, but this is the way it is. I would very much like to alert my fellow actors to the fact that there is no acting here. It’s only you and your past. So make the best of it. What I mean is, you can’t act your life here. You have to really live it honesty.
Roy Harold Scherer , Jr., later Roy Harold Fitzgerald (November 17, 1925 – October 2, 1985), known professionally as Rock Hudson, was an American film and television actor, recognized as a romantic leading man during the 1950s and 1960s, most notably in several romantic comedies with Doris Day.
Hudson was voted “Star of the Year”, “Favorite Leading Man”, and similar titles by numerous movie magazines. The 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m) tall actor was one of the most popular and well-known movie stars of the time. He completed nearly 70 motion pictures and starred in several television productions during a career that spanned over four decades.
Hudson died in 1985, being one of the first major Hollywood celebrities to die from an AIDS-related illness. (Source: Wikipedia)
