I am here, Col. Prouty.
I lived and died a military man, though as my life continued, a most unusual military man who pulled rank and told truth to power.1 This is what you are not supposed to do in regard to the military. But I did, and willingly and happily. For I saw a great evil that was beyond the simple horror of war itself, to something much worse: a truly evil plan that so many have no conception of, and that impacts everyone on the planet.
I know you think all war is evil, and I know now that that’s also what God and the Angels think. But it wasn’t how I thought. As a military man, my job was to do the job correctly, no questions asked. That’s how you do it. You obey orders.
But I early on saw things that changed my perspective completely. I saw that there was a greater plan on the part of what I called the Secret Team that superseded and surpassed any of the specific agendas that occupied the military arm of government. This greater plan was, for want of a better word, a monster, a Frankenstein monster. And furthermore, this monster was running amok, but it was so clever and cunning that it has the ability to disguise itself in any way that prevents detection.
So I wrote my books to reveal this monster, this vampire, that continues to suck the blood of the human race, without anything to stand in its way - until the time, when God decrees, when an undeniable response will come from above. And then it will be stopped for good.
That’s all wish to say now. I wish you good luck in your life, and I know almighty God will bless your path.
Leroy Fletcher Prouty (January 24, 1917 - June 5, 2001) served as Chief of Special Operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President John F. Kennedy. A former colonel in the United States Air Force, he retired from military service to become a banker, and subsequently became a critic of U.S. foreign policy, particularly the covert activities of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) about which he had considerable insider knowledge. Prouty, along with Richard Case Nagell, was the inspiration for the character “Mr. X” in Oliver Stone’s movie JFK. (Source: Wikipedia)
Note 1. This seems to be a uniquely North American idiom. It means to speak the truth to those in power.
